Board leadership

Lori is Chief Executive of Manchester Central Convention Complex, where she leads the organisation's strategic vision and its delivery of economic, social and environmental value for Manchester.
Her career spans strategy, business growth, sales, marketing, engineering, facilities management and health and safety. Before joining Manchester Central, Lori was Chief Growth Officer and Managing Director at Montgomery Group and worked with the Mayor of London on the strategy and delivery plan for the Park Royal Industrial Area. Earlier in her career, she trained as an engineer in the Royal Canadian Air Force and spent 15 years working in manufacturing.
As Chair, Lori leads the Board in providing effective governance, strategic direction and oversight for Trafford Leisure.

Helen is a Chartered Director, a Fellow of the Institute of Directors and the founder of Helen Rose Consultancy Ltd. Through her consultancy, she provides procurement advice and strategic business support to organisations in the leisure and hospitality sector.
Helen brings extensive executive and non-executive experience across leisure, property, education and the public sector. Her previous roles include senior leadership positions at De Vere Hotels & Leisure plc, where she oversaw commercial services, procurement and operations across a national leisure portfolio.
Helen also serves as a Non-Executive Director with NWUPC, supports senior leaders as a mentor and contributes to education governance. As Senior Independent Director, Helen provides independent support and challenge to help strengthen the effectiveness of the Board.

Helen is Director of Public Health for Trafford, leading work to improve health and wellbeing and tackle health inequalities across the borough.
Helen works closely with health services, local government and community organisations to develop prevention-focused programmes that support healthier lifestyles and stronger communities. She joined Trafford in 2014 and has held a range of senior public health roles, including contributing to Trafford's public health response during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Helen brings valuable expertise in population health, prevention and addressing health inequalities to the Board.

Richard is a member of Trafford Council's Corporate Leadership Team, with strategic responsibilities across areas including economic growth, development, housing, planning, highways, transport, community safety and leisure provision.
Working with Trafford Council since 2010, Richard has extensive experience in regeneration, sustainable growth, public services and partnership working. He also serves as a Non-Executive Director of GreaterSport.
Richard brings strong knowledge of Trafford, local government and strategic place development to the Board.

Jash is the founder of JC Advisory & Consulting, where he advises boards and business owners on strategy, finance and complex project delivery.
He has more than 20 years of corporate experience, including roles with EY, private equity and leading financial institutions. Jash holds a CFA qualification and a BSc in Economics from the London School of Economics.
Alongside his professional work, Jash is a Level 2 badminton coach and supports community sport programmes across Trafford. He brings extensive financial, commercial and strategic expertise to the Board.

Yvonne is a GP at Boundary House Medical Centre and a Clinical Advisor working to reduce physical inactivity across Trafford.
She founded the Trafford Walking for Health scheme, which works with local volunteers to promote community walking groups linked to GP surgeries throughout the borough. Having initially trained as a surgeon, Yvonne later moved into general practice and became a Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners in 2004.
Yvonne brings valuable insight into community health, prevention and the important connection between healthcare, leisure and physical activity.

Catherine is a Client Partner at Slalom, a consultancy supporting organisations with strategy, technology and business transformation.
She has extensive experience in data and analytics, including leading teams and delivering projects focused on data strategy and business intelligence. As a Trafford resident and a user of Trafford Leisure's services, Catherine also brings valuable insight from a customer perspective.
Catherine is passionate about fitness and wellbeing and enjoys running, strength training and yoga.

Lora is a Paralympic cyclist and world champion who has represented Great Britain on the international stage.
Competing in tandem track and road cycling, Lora has won multiple world titles and Paralympic medals. She is also a passionate advocate for inclusion and accessibility in sport, working to promote physical activity and encourage people of all abilities to lead active, healthy lives.
Lora brings elite sporting experience and valuable insight into accessibility and inclusive participation to the Board.

Rachel is a senior people leader with 20 years of experience specialising in reward, pay and benefits across the private and not-for-profit sectors.
Her expertise includes employee engagement, organisational transformation and pay market insight. As a local resident, Trafford Leisure member and user of its services, Rachel also brings valuable customer and family perspectives to the Board.
Rachel has a strong interest in health, wellbeing and sport and is a running coach for local community running clubs.

Liz is the founder and Director of Piquancy Strategy Ltd, a consultancy specialising in brand insight and growth strategy.
She has extensive experience helping organisations and national brands develop clear positioning, strengthen customer engagement and achieve sustainable growth. Liz previously founded the brand insight and strategy consultancy PDIQ Ltd, which became part of Dentsu in 2018, where she subsequently served as Chief Consulting Officer.
Liz brings significant expertise in brand strategy, marketing communications, customer insight and business growth to the Board.

Eve is a Trafford councillor and a university lecturer at the University of Manchester, where she teaches and researches issues relating to gender, social justice and global development.
Earlier in her career, Eve worked for an international non-governmental organisation as Director of Programmes, leading initiatives focused on tackling violence against women and addressing wider social inequalities.
Eve brings extensive experience in strategic leadership, policy development, governance and cross-sector partnership working to the Board.

John is Property Director at Robinsons Brewery, where he leads the organisation's investment programme and oversees the long-term management, compliance and development of its property portfolio.
A Chartered Architect with more than 25 years of experience, John has a strong background in property development, design, estate management and capital project delivery. Before joining Robinsons, he worked in private practice on major residential, commercial and industrial developments across the UK.
John brings extensive expertise in property strategy, sustainable asset planning and the management of major capital projects to the Board.
Our approach to governance
Our Board is responsible for the organisation's long-term strategic direction and provides oversight across the areas that matter most.
The Board meets four times a year, with additional meetings held when required. Members also contribute through subcommittees, development activities and engagement with Trafford Leisure's stakeholders and communities.
