The timetable below is a proposed version that we are currently working on for our customers for when move Urmston opens. Class Decriptions

Virtual RPM

The indoor cycling workout where you discover your athlete within. Virtual RPM is the audio-visual version of the live Les Mills RPM classes and are held in the group fitness studio with a virtual instructor on the big screen.

Exercise Type – Cycle/Cardio

 


 

Virtual Sprint

Les Mills Sprint is a 30 minute High Intensity Interval Training (HiiT) workout, using an indoor bike to achieve fast results. It’s a quick and hard style of training that returns rapid results with minimal joint impact.

Exercise Type – Cycle/Cardio

 


 

The Trip

A fully immersive workout experience that combines a 40-minute multi-peak cycling workout with a journey through digitally-created worlds. With its cinema-scale screen and sound system, this IMMERSIVE FITNESS workout takes motivation and energy output to the next level, burning serious calories.

Body Pump

Our most popular strength training class. The original barbell class that shapes, tones, and strengthens your entire body.

Grit

Considered one of the quickest ways to take your fitness to the next level, the high-intensity interval training of a LES MILLS GRIT workout builds cardiovascular fitness and lean muscle while sending calorie burn through the roof.

Body Combat

A high-energy cardio workout that combines various martial arts including karate, boxing, taekwondo, tai chi, and muay thai.

Exercise Type – Cardio

Live Spin

Because of the varying intensity levels throughout class, spinning provides a great cardio workout, as well as strength training. Spin targets and tones the thighs, glutes, hamstrings, and core. It’s been proven to help you drop that stubborn weight and even prevent migraines! Spin is also just fun.

Exercise Type – Cycle/Cardio

Zumba

Zumba is a fitness program that combines Latin and international music with dance moves. Zumba routines incorporate interval training — alternating fast and slow rhythms — to help improve cardiovascular fitness.

Hatha Yoga

This is a yoga class which concentrates on physical health and mental well-being. Hatha yoga uses bodily postures (asanas), breathing techniques(pranayama), and meditation techniques(dyana) with the goal of bringing about a sound, healthy body and a clear, peaceful mind.. Hatha yoga postures strengthen and stretch the body, promoting balance and flexibility.

Iyenga Yoga

The Iyengar yoga method is known for its rigorous style and its sophisticated understanding of asana. It develops strength, flexibility and endurance and you’ll learn precision as well as subtlety in your asana and pranayama practice. The method is progressive, safe and orderly, with the teacher adjusting postures to meet the needs of each student.

Vinyasa Yoga

Vinyasa is a style of yoga characterised by stringing postures together so that you move from one to another, seamlessly, using breath.  Commonly referred to as “flow” yoga, Vinyasa classes offer a variety of postures and no two classes are ever alike.

Circuit Training

Fast-paced class in which you do one exercise for 30 seconds to 5 minutes and then move on to another exercise. This will give attention to all major postural muscles and trigger a tabata like effect activating both fast and slow twitch muscle fibers. You will be sure to sweat!

Simple Circuits

A ‘stay active’ full body workout run in the style of a slower pace circuit class. A fantastic starting point for anyone who is new to exercise or recovering from injury.

Family Circuits

This class aims to boost the whole families overall fitness and strength. We vary the structure from week to week but you can expect Circuits, HIIT training, AMRAP’s, Tabata and even some Boxing. Children must be 8 years of age to attend and under 11’s must be accompanied by an adult.

HIIT

High-Intensity Interval Training, is a training technique in which you give all-out, one hundred percent effort through quick, intense bursts of exercise, followed by short, sometimes active, recovery periods. This type of training gets and keeps your heart rate up and burns more fat in less time.

Fun, High Energy Cardio workout with a great mix of conditioning and core strength work – burn and firm up your body with this session.

Pilates

postural alignment, strengthen and lengthen your muscles with this classic class.

A gentle and basic exercise class aimed towards 50+ years. Expect to use light weights and resistance bands to strengthen your muscles and joints whilst improving your balance and maintaining fitness levels.

Aqua Aerobics

Full body aqua workout suitable for swimmers and non swimmers. Get fit in the pool.

Exercise Type – Cardio

A fun aerobic workout jam packed with movements to get your heart racing but with a calming & relaxing Tai Chi section.
