Give your child the opportunity to thrive with expert led gymnastics lessons in our state of the art facility.
Our team of dedicated and experienced coaches is committed to making gymnastics accessible and enjoyable for everyone, no matter your age, experience level, or background.
At move Gymnastics, you'll gain far more than just cartwheels (though we’ll do plenty of those too!). Gymnastics is a powerful way to build strength, flexibility, coordination, and endurance all while boosting confidence and fostering a lifelong love of movement.
We are excited to share with you a glimpse into our new inclusive gymnastics hub that has been created inside move Altrincham Centre. It is a purpose-built, state of the art space designed for gymnasts of all levels. It's equipped with everything needed to practice and learn in a fun and safe environment. Here's a quick breakdown of what you can expect:
These are essential for safely learning new skills. For example, when children are learning dismounts from the bars or trampoline, they can safely swing and drop into the pit to build their confidence. These are a massive hit with children as they love to play and land in the pits. Whilst they are crucial for safety, they also provide a huge amount of fun for our children.
The vaulting area which has adjustable heights, allows gymnasts to start at lower levels and progress as they build their skills. The vault is perfect for learning how to clear obstacles safely.
The hall features both a single high bar over pits which is ideal to build confidence in learning to swing or dismount safely into the pit. We also have a set of A bars which is a low bar and high bar in one. These bars are used for a vast range of Gymnastics skills ranging from strength and conditioning through to bigger skills that one day may lead to competition level.
Primarily used by boys for strength training, these bars are great for building upper body strength and performing various exercises.
The tumble track is a long, sprung area used for tumbling, helping gymnasts perfect technique. The fast track is a black bouncy strip used for repetition work so that gymnasts reduce the impact on their joints.
This space is used for static skills like handstands, rolls, shape work, and conditioning exercises.
The gymnasts can practice on a range of beams, from soft foam beams for beginners to high beams for more advanced skills. Working on the beam helps improve posture, walking techniques, and balance, as well as learning important skills like handstands, cartwheels, jumps, and spins.
The entire space is surrounded by wall padding and includes dismount mats for extra safety.
The gym also features a low mushroom trainer, designed to help build strength, rebound screens (small trampolines for performing jumps and somersaults), and a ring frame for strength work. All of this equipment is designed to ensure a comprehensive, injury-free gymnastics experience.
There is dedicated seating for spectators to watch and cheer on the gymnasts.
For kids’ parties, there’s a special space where children can enjoy food and fun activities in a safe environment.
As we perfect our classes and timetables, you will be the first people able to secure your place in one of our varied classes. We can’t wait to see our future Olympians move, learn and grow with us.
Our structured gymnastics program helps children build skills step by step, earning certificates as they progress. Each level focuses on key movements, strength, and confidence to support their development.
