INVITATION TO TENDER
We are pleased to announce that we are now welcoming applications for the tender of our café operation at move Urmston. We seek a true partnership, the fit with our brand and people is integral and we will support you to succeed. All terms and conditions will be subject to negotiation.

We then invite you to complete the expression of interest form.

Timings
The timings of the tender process are as follows:
- Preliminary discussions – now
- Opening date for applications – Monday 27th July 2026
- Tender submission deadline – Monday 7th September 2026
- Mystery visits and formal discussions – September 2026
- Selection and contract for café tender operation October 2026
- Commencement of operation approx. October/ November 2026
What you can expect from us

- We will pay the utility costs, protecting you from the volatility in the market
- Quarterly development meetings
- We will work closely with you, providing support and cross selling opportunities with all activities in the centre
- Partially fitted out servery and catering store
- Your staff will feel part of the move team and can provide a benefits package to aid your recruitment and retainment
Trafford Leisure F&B Guidelines/non negotiables
The ask:
Our café partner needs to provide a modern, all-day, family-orientated offer that is both environmentally sustainable and contributes to a healthy balanced diet, for customers to enjoy in the centre and on the go. We are looking for a partner who shares our commitment to social value, promoting sustainability, wellbeing and diversity.
Our non-negotiables:
- Our food and drink offer needs to support people eat a healthy, balanced diet.
- We want to avoid using ultra-processed food.
- We’re looking to provide an offer that enables people to achieve the EatWell guidelines.
The Eatwell Guide – GOV.UK (www.gov.uk): Avoiding foods that are high in fat, salt and sugar (HFSS).
- Ensuring that HFSS foods are portion controlled.
- Not using branded fridges which promote sugary drinks.
- Not offering HFSS foods as part of a price driven offer.
- Our offer should cater to various dietary preferences, including vegetarian, vegan, and plant-based choices.
- Consider seasonality and provenance of food in order to reduce carbon footprint.
- We will look to use local suppliers and providers.
- We will minimise food waste by reviewing consumption/purchasing.
- We will ensure food waste is collected separately and composted.
- We recognise that re-usable is best. With this in mind:
- We don’t use single use plastics.
- We don’t use takeaway packaging on food eaten on site.
- We use recyclable packaging and recycled paper.
- We will look at discounts for those bringing their own coffee cup.
- We will refill water bottles.
